The Training for ISQ7 Riggers began last 3rd February 2019 at the Training Ground of Pusat Pembangunan Kapasiti (PPK) in Lambak Kanan. There were more than 80 students who expressed their interest to learn the basics of Rigging and Slinging, the standard of Lifting and Hoisting and the basic Lifting Planning. The programme will run for three months and expected to end on the first week of May. Students will be given Conditional Offer of Employment once they finish the course are successful.
ATDC instructors commented that this batch of students were very enthusiastic and keen to learn new things. They were advised to perform well in the written and practical aspects of the programme in order to pass the course. According to one of the students, he was always excited every time he attends the class because ATDC Instructors never failed to encourage him to do well especially when doing the Practical Exercises using the lifting accessories and appliances.
Students expressed also their gratitude to the government of Brunei Darussalam for providing them the skills that they can use to be more productive citizens in the near future.
Likewise, ATDC will always be committed to support the government in providing quality Training for these young people making them competent and boosting their self-worth.
